Lehrer Architects Studio

Acquiring a 50-year-old, 7,400 sq ft building in Silverlake, Los Angeles, in 2005, Lehrer Architects transformed the once dim and cramped 5,400 sq ft warehouse into a luminous workspace. Key interventions, including blowing out the southern wall, using white painted solid core doors, epoxy-finished painted floors, off-the-shelf storage systems, and strategic design elements revitalized the space. The synthesis of process and product unfolds organically upon entry, with a strategic red line accentuating the trapezoidal shape and thoughtful landscape design. The architecture openly unveils the entire creative process instantly upon entry.
