University of Southern California Schoenfeld Symphonic Hall

Lehrer Architects embarked on a transformative project, converting a 3,700 square foot former USC cinematic arts facility into a world-class orchestral hall - The Alice and Eleonore Schoenfeld Symphonic Hall - tailored to the Thornton Symphony and Wind Ensemble. Partnering with acoustics experts, Kirkegaard Associates, we crafted a flexible space boasting top-tier acoustics to accommodate various ensemble configurations, master classes, and recitals. Complete with cutting-edge audio and video recording capabilities, the hall establishes a new standard in university orchestral recording quality, solidifying USC Thornton's global reputation as a premier music institution.
