Alexandria Tiny Home Village
The Alexandria Park Tiny Home Village honors the homeless community through vibrant design and ample congregation spaces. This Design-Build project provides housing and services for 200 residents, while enhancing utilities and an underdeveloped public space. The design introduces a lively composition to an existing young park tree grove, strategically placing shelters to preserve trees, utilize shade, and create central community spaces.
"A basic design principle is to create a sense of arrival, a sense of place, a sense of community, some notion of procession."
